Job summary

Millennium Health in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Part-Time Female Specimen Collector Phlebotomist for Monday and Thursday, 8:00am–4:00pm (16 hours/week). This role requires female candidates for observed collections of female patients and involves collecting blood, urine, and saliva, plus processing and packaging specimens for shipping.

You will act as a liaison between clinics and the laboratory, record orders, and ensure accurate specimen handling.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience in the field (experience may substitute for certificate).
• 6+ months as specimen collector or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience may substitute medical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
