Job summary

Millennium Health in Bedford, Indiana seeks a Full-Time Female Specimen Collector Phlebotomist to draw blood, collect urine or saliva, and process specimens while delivering compassionate patient service. You will work Monday to Friday 8am-5:00pm, interacting with clinicians and lab staff, maintaining documentation, and ensuring accurate specimen handling in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience; experience may substitute for certificate.
• 6+ months as specimen collector or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience acceptable in lieu of medical experience.
• Ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Medical insurance/billing familiarity is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
