Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a full-time Female Specimen Collector/Phlebotomist for Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role requires observed collections for gender-identified patients and a Monday-Friday 9am-4pm schedule.

The ideal candidate is a certified phlebotomist with patient-care experience, strong customer service, and ability to navigate smartphones/computers. Mileage may be required for travel between facilities. Medical background checks and background screening are required.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year field experience.
• 6+ months as a specimen collector or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service may substitute for medical experience.
• Proficient with smartphones and computers.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
