Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part-Time Female Specimen Collector (Phlebotomist) in Owensboro, KY. The role involves collecting blood, urine, and saliva specimens, processing and shipping, and serving as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory.

Ideal candidates are certified phlebotomists with 1+ year of experience, strong customer service, a valid driver's license, and a High School diploma or equivalent. Schedule includes two morning shifts, totaling 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year field experience.
• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
