Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Abilene, TX is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join our team. You will screen donors, perform phlebotomy, and support plasma center operations in a flexible 4–6 hour shift, 3+ days per week.

You will greet donors, monitor during donation, handle venipuncture, and assist with equipment setup and data entry. Prior customer-facing work is helpful; lift requirements up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Glove wear due to bloodborne pathogen exposure.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor measurements and enter data into the DIS.
• Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using Debit Card system.
• Identify operational improvements with center management.
