Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP in Abilene, TX seeks a part-time phlebotomist focused on donor screening and phlebotomy to support plasma center operations. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a donor screener, phlebotomy, and related duties in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma and are comfortable with evenings, weekends, and lifting up to 50 lbs. A commitment to customer service and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and stand for the full shift.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach as needed.
• Lift up to 5 lbs, with occasional lifts up to 32–50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination and ability to monitor equipment.
• 1+ years in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors entering and exiting the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage reactions.
• Setup, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor measures and enter data into the DIS system.
• Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors via the Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational opportunities for improvement.
