Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is hiring a Phlebotomist II for part-time hours in Perth Amboy, NJ (9:00 AM–1:30 PM, Mondays and Fridays with a rotation every second Saturday).

The role requires at least three years of phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma; California/Nevada/Washington specifics do not apply here. Compensation includes a pay range of $24.50–$26.25 per hour and eligibility for annual bonuses.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifugation, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stock, sanitize, file, answer phones, email.
• Read and comply with dept. policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
