BioLife is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist in Pittsburgh, PA. Shifts run 4–6 hours daily, 3+ days per week with scheduling discussed in interview. You will greet donors, perform venipuncture, monitor donors, and ensure plasmapheresis operations run smoothly. Training is paid and interactive, with opportunities for growth in a fast-paced center.

You will work evenings, weekends, and holidays, ensuring high-quality patient service while handling lab procedures and data entry in the DIS system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays work schedule.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift up to 5 lbs. and occasionally up to 32 lbs. (rarely 50 lbs).
• Fine motor coordination and depth perception; ability to hear equipment.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens; prolonged glove wear.
• 1+ years of customer or patient-facing experience helps.

Responsabilités

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Handle setup, verification, operation, and troubleshooting of plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with waste disposal.
• Record donor measures and input data into the DIS system.
• Coordinate donors to the donor floor and process payments with the Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational improvements.
