Job summary

BioLife is seeking part-time Plasma Donor Screener/Phlebotomist support in Houston, TX. The role involves greeting donors, screening and vitals, and assisting in center operations while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays work.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift up to 5 lbs, up to 32 lbs occasionally, rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing equipment from a distance.
• Prolonged glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
• 1+ years in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet and focus on donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for center process improvements using approved procedures.
• Be available for a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
