Job summary

BioLife is hiring a part-time phlebotomist in Roanoke, VA. Shifts are 4–6 hours, 3+ days per week, with paid training and advance notice of schedule changes. You will screen donors, perform phlebotomy, monitor donors, and support center operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma, ability to stand/walk, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical tasks include handling supplies and lifting up to 50 lbs when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs and occasionally up to 32 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture of donors and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within training scope.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor vital signs and enter data into the DIS.
