Job summary

BioLife is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist in Roanoke, VA to collect high-quality plasma while delivering excellent donor service. The role supports plasma center operations under the Plasma Center Manager, with training provided and flexible scheduling that fits busy lives.

You will perform phlebotomy, monitor donors and ensure safety protocols, including glove use, while entering donor data and coordinating donor flow.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.
• Ability to walk and stand for the entire shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift light to moderate loads.
• Frequent glove use due to potential bloodborne pathogen exposure.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
