Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Phlebotomist for multiple locations in South Jersey. The role involves accepting specimens, labeling, phlebotomy, and processing to ensure accurate test results. It requires strong customer service and clerical skills to support patients and colleagues.

The position is a FLOAT, must travel to 16 sites, and is on-site at various Mount Holly locations. Start times vary by site, with a 1st shift schedule and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal phlebotomy training required.
• ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient identification, phlebotomy, specimen labeling.
• Specimen verification, processing, shipment and front loading on instruments for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processes including registration, and ordering.
• Provides outstanding customer service by demonstrating effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills.
• Performs clerical functions including but not limited to telephone communication, report generation and faxing.
