Job summary

BioLife is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist in Abilene, TX to support plasma collection operations. Responsibilities include donor interaction, venipuncture, and plasmapheresis equipment handling. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

You will work under the Plasma Center Manager, ensuring high-quality donor care and adherence to procedures. Training is provided, with emphasis on safety and patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays work availability.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift up to 5 lbs., occasional up to 32 lbs., rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Prolonged glove wear due to bloodborne pathogens exposure.
• 1+ years in a customer/patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
