Job summary

Giant Food, a trusted local grocer in Stafford, VA, is seeking a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team. You will ensure safe, accurate dispensing and deliver patient care with precision in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include prescription verification, medication counseling, MTM, immunization services, and collaboration with technicians and store leadership to maintain compliance and service quality. A PharmD with 2–5+ years of retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Immunization certification (e.g., APhA or state-recognized).
• MTM certification where applicable.
• 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience (preferred).
• Experience as Pharmacy Manager or Lead Pharmacist.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and HIPAA.
• Experience with inventory management and budgeting.
• Familiarity with third-party insurance processing.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and verify prescriptions and counsel patients.
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and ensure accuracy.
• Provide immunization services and support clinical programs.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and store policies.
• Lead pharmacy staff and manage schedules.
