Job summary

Giant Food is seeking a Pharmacist Immunizer to join our Pharmacy Team in Charlottesville, VA. You will provide vaccine administration, patient education, and MTM services in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires an active pharmacist license, immunization certification, and 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience. Travel to offsite locations may be needed; we offer comprehensive healthcare, 401(k) with match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the hiring state.
• Immunization certification (APhA or state equivalent).
• MTM certification where applicable.
• 2–5+ years retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, HIPAA and controlled substance laws.
• Experience with third-party insurance processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide immunization services and patient counseling to ensure positive health outcomes.
• Administer vaccines safely and accurately, following ACIP/CDC guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records, vaccine inventory, and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare providers to promote patient care and service programs.
• Support health and wellness initiatives and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
