Job summary

Hy-Vee Cedar Rapids is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy staff while delivering friendly, accurate service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include overseeing inventory, MTM, immunizations (where certified), HIPAA compliance, and mentoring staff. A active pharmacy license and continued education are required; MTM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active.
• 6 months to 1 year of related work experience recommended.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred; immunizations certification/ability required.

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory and annual counts.
• Assist with inventory control, ordering, stocking, and invoicing.
• Balance third-party accounts and monthly inventory.
• Coach, counsel, and train pharmacy employees; participate in education and training.
• Administer immunizations as certified; uphold HIPAA confidentiality.
• Lead in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager; coordinate with other departments.
