Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team in a fast-paced retail environment. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team while promoting wellness in the community.

The role requires a pharmacy degree and active licensure, with immunization administration as part of the duties. Strong customer service and compliance with HIPAA are essential.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active.
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required.
• Ability to administer immunizations required.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and learning their names.
• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients per OBRA '90 and state/federal laws.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory annually or as needed.
• Manage inventory: ordering, stocking, invoices, and data entry.
• Reconcile and balance third-party accounts and monthly inventory.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager with ordering and merchandising over-the-counter products.
• Coach, counsel, and train pharmacy staff; participate in education programs.
• Visit schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers to market pharmacy services.
• Grow sales through counseling and wellness programs.
