Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team. You will help grow wellness programs and community outreach while maintaining compliance with regulations.

The role requires a pharmacy degree and licensure, with immunization certification and a commitment to excellent patient care. This is a fast-paced retail pharmacy position in a Hy-Vee location.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; ongoing CE to maintain license.
• 6 months to 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Assist with immunizations and vaccine outreach as certified.
• Support pharmacy team, inventory control, and third-party account reconciliation.
• Mentor staff, provide training, and participate in wellness programs and community outreach.
• Visit schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers to promote pharmacy services.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
• Respond to schedule and operational needs; uphold Hy-Vee policies.
