Job summary

Petco seeks a Part-Time Key Holder in Columbus, OH to oversee daily store operations on the sales floor and serve as a contact when management isn’t present.

You will supervise partners, open/close the store, assist with inventory, merchandising, and customer service, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for pets and customers. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays required. Previous retail supervisory experience is preferred, with strong leadership and cash-handling skills.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience required.
• Key Holder or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, following cash handling, safety, and security protocols.
• Supervise partners, maintain productivity and morale, and assist with training.
• Execute merchandising standards, planograms, pricing, signage, and promotions.
• Assist with inventory, restocking, cycle counts, and inventory paperwork.
• Address customer questions and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
• Act as the primary contact in the absence of store management.
