Job summary

Petco is hiring a Key Holder to join our Pet Care Center team. You will supervise partners, open and close the store, and ensure a safe, friendly experience for pets and customers. You’ll manage on-floor operations, merchandising, and daily tasks while delivering exceptional service.

You will support leadership by handling transactions, guiding associates, and maintaining store standards, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction. This role offers growth within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience required; key holder or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.
• Reliable, responsible, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store while following cash handling, safety, and security protocols.
• Provide guidance to partners during assigned shifts and supervise on-floor operations.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, pricing, and signage to Petco standards.
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and cycle counts and communicate issues to leadership.
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and resolve customer questions promptly.
