Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing at St. Mary’s Richmond.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality perioperative care, including pre-op assessment, coordination with the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process. The position supports a 16-hour weekly schedule, with 2-3 days or afternoons coverage, and requires state RN licensure and relevant nursing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS/ACLS or PALS certification preferred at hire (ACLS and/or PALS may be required based on department).
• CNOR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and surgical team and maintain a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care within the OR and coordinate with the team.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including discharge instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
