Job summary

Seminole State College of Florida is seeking an Academic Success Coach - TRIO-SSS SmartPath to provide mentorship and academic support to participants on a part-time basis. You will help students develop study skills, time management, and engagement strategies while connecting them to campus resources.

The role supports program staff and events, with a focus on student success and positive academic behaviors in a multi-cultural environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
• Enrolled as a college or university student with at least sophomore standing.
• Experience in peer mentoring, tutoring, or student leadership, with interest in student success or higher education careers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a peer mentor to SmartPath participants and encourage continued engagement.
• Provide individual or small group tutoring to reinforce study skills and time management.
• Facilitate or support study groups and academic success activities with program staff.
• Connect students with tutoring, workshops, and campus resources.
• Encourage participation in program events and student engagement activities.
