Job summary

CFS is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations at a respected higher education institution. The role focuses on accurate, timely processing of employee compensation, maintaining confidential records, and ensuring compliance with payroll policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing.
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft.
• Strong understanding of payroll procedures, wage calculations, deductions, and applicable payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process and review payroll transactions (hours, earnings, deductions, adjustments) for accuracy and timeliness.
• Enter, maintain, and verify payroll data and employee information in PeopleSoft.
• Review timesheets and payroll changes to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in line with policies and regulations.
• Support payroll reporting, audits, and other administrative duties as needed.
