Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Chesterfield, MO is seeking a Part-Time Patient Service Representative to serve as the initial front-office contact, manage patient check-ins, and schedule appointments. This role supports outpatient operations and may involve basic billing coordination.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and 2–5 years of relevant experience, with preference for medical office exposure. Weekend rotations are included, and it is a part-time, benefit-eligible position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years of experience in a front office/medical setting preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or outpatient environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on applicable regulations; collects payments.
• Performs data entry of service charges, including assignment of diagnostic codes and charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure charges are captured and properly collected.
