Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Experience representative to provide administrative support to the Complex Surgery unit and coordinate patient and family services to optimize the patient experience.

You will handle scheduling, triage calls, admissions/discharges, and routine clerical tasks while demonstrating empathy and clear communication with diverse patients and colleagues. Shift: every other Saturday/Sunday 11pm–7:30am and every other holiday.

Qualifications

• A high school level of education, bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
• The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.

Responsibilities

• Patient Encounter Management: Providing positive and effective customer service that supports unit operations.
• Collaborating with referring providers and practices.
• Obtaining required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules.
• Scheduling patients and supporting patients encounter.
