Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a PT Night position that combines direct patient care with essential unit clerical duties. You will assist the patient care team under a Clinical Nurse, keep the environment clean, and help with patient flow, orders, and sign-in/out procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of the IU Health PCA education program or prior acute patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Clinical Nurse.
• Perform unit clerical duties and support the patient care team.
• Maintain clean and orderly environment for the patient.
• Provide information, directions and assistance to physicians, patients, families, customers and vendors.
• May schedule tests and procedures and maintain patient records.
• Sign patients in and out of the unit and assist with supply delivery as needed.
• Provide continuous observation including suicide prevention when required.
