Job summary

AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL, seeks a Part-Time Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care. The role involves day shifts, rotating weekends and holidays, and requires a High School diploma with BLS/CNA certifications.

You will work under the direction of a registered nurse and participate in maintaining a safe, clean clinical environment. Responsibilities include documenting procedures, taking nursing histories, and assisting in patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1+ PCT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules: Part Time; 24 hours/week; Days 6:45am - 7:15pm, rotating weekends/holidays.
• Performs patient care per policy and procedure appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Responds to clinical emergencies.
• Contributes to quality initiatives and performance improvement.
• Follows isolation guidelines and safety protocols; uses PPE; performs handwashing.
• Maintains clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in patient care delivery under RN supervision.
• Documents procedures per department policy.
• Obtains nursing history and reports abnormalities to RN.
• Identifies patient needs and performs other duties as assigned.
