Job summary

Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team and, when needed, perform Health Unit Coordinator duties. Required CNA certification in Utah, BLS for healthcare providers, basic computer literacy, and excellent written and verbal communication.

This is a part-time role with 24 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen changes and comfort measures.
• Report and document patient care findings in a timely manner and communicate changes.
• Monitor patients and assist with telemetry when required and coordinate with RN.
• Transport medications to the RN on the unit as needed.
• Assist with Health Unit Coordinator duties when required (phones, orders, records).
• Implement the plan of care as delegated and maintain a safe environment.
