Job summary

Intermountain Health Layton Hospital is seeking a full-time Day Shift Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team in Med/Surg. The role includes basic care, data documentation, and collaboration with RNs.

The position requires CNA certification in Utah or completion of a recent CNA program with timely certification, and BLS. Weekend/holiday shifts and shift differentials are noted. Join a committed, patient-centered care team focused on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification required in the state of practice.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills expected.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration, and comfort measures.
• Record and report patient care data promptly; alert staff to changes in condition.
• Monitor patients, assist with telemetry as needed, and collaborate with the care team.
• Assist with Health Unit Coordinator duties as assigned and maintain unit records.
