Job summary

Trinity Health in Shelby, TN is seeking a part-time Specialist I to support patient access through pre-registration, scheduling, and insurance verification. You will help manage high-dollar testing, coordinate referrals, and begin the billing process for services.

The role requires one year of customer service, a HS diploma, and relevant credentials; training is two weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with weekend/holiday variability.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience, required.
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient focused customer service.
• Performs outpatient & inpatient registration & insurance verification functions.
• Collects patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare, pre-certifications & referrals.
• Provides general information to hospital users, patients, families & physician offices.
