Job summary

Trinity Health in Shelby is seeking a part-time Specialist I to support patient registration, insurance verification and billing processes across multiple areas. The role involves scheduling, cash collection and providing information to patients and hospital teams.

You must be able to attend two-week EPIC training, M-F, 8a-4:30p, and work a variable shift schedule between 6am and 11pm, including some weekends and holidays; onsite location in Shelby.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within 1 year of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-focused customer service.
• Performs outpatient & inpatient registration & insurance verification.
• Collects patient financial liability payments & ensures required payer pre-certifications & referrals.
• Provides general information to hospital users, patients, families & physician offices.
