Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ year of customer service, medical office or call center experience required.
• CRCR HFMA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers calls for assigned clinic specialties with standard greeting and closure.
• Captures and verifies patient demographics and insurance information in the EMR.
• Schedules appointments in the EMR following guidelines; provides directions and paperwork.
• Reviews electronic communications and stays updated on department processes; notifies leadership with questions.
• Ensures accurate answers and assists customers; escalates per guidelines.
• Collects copays, balances, and prepayments; partners with Financial Advocate when appropriate.
• Identifies and resolves complaints or routes via escalation guidelines.
• Demonstrates mastery to provide cross-coverage across scheduling groups.
• Assists with MyChart messages, canceled clinics, follow-up and wait list reports.
