Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Part-Time Patient Access Specialist I for the Finance team. This role handles patient registration, verifies insurance and collects patient balances at service time, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and Nemours standards.

The position requires a high school diploma, healthcare or call center experience, and flexibility to travel to other locations as needed. Travel to different Nemours locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Healthcare experience and customer service experience preferred.
• Medical Office/Call Center experience.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Travel to other locations required.

Responsabilités

• Verify insurance benefits and determine financial responsibility.
• Register patients and update demographics.
• Explain all essential and legal forms and collect patient balances.
• Cross-train with the Emergency Room.
• Support the Patient Financial Services department as needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy rules and Nemours Standards of Behavior.
