Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Chef Instructor, Pastry to lead in-store pastry classes and share expert baking knowledge. You will engage customers with hands-on instruction, demonstrate pastry techniques, and drive sales of related products while upholding our standards of service.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Degree preferred: culinary arts; extensive experience considered in lieu of formal education.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand with memorable in-store pastry experiences.
• Deliver pastry and baking classes to drive sales of bakeware and decorating tools.
• Explain technical pastry concepts in clear, encouraging terms.
• Maintain kitchen standards, safety, and class quality.
