Job summary

Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper for Immaculate Conception and St. Joseph Parish in Chicago. The role supports parish and school finances, handling AP, deposits, and payroll-related tasks while maintaining internal controls.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in business or accounting and at least two years of parish or business bookkeeping, with strong skills in QuickBooks, GiveCentral, UKG Payroll, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business or related discipline; Accounting preferred.
• 2+ years of parish or business bookkeeping experience or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, GiveCentral, UKG Payroll System and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle bookkeeping functions including accounts payable and staff reimbursements in QuickBooks.
• Post bank deposits and various platform data to QuickBooks (GiveCentral, Venmo, Payschools, Square).
• Assist with weekly collection counts and monthly financial reports.
• Support payroll processes and bi-weekly timecard approvals in UKG; act as payroll backup.
• Maintain internal controls and organized files; assist with bank reconciliations.
