Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Three to five years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Aufgaben

• Maintain accurate financial records, process accounts payable and parish revenues, prepare journal entries, and track restricted donations, designated funds, and investment activity using diocesan-approved accounting software.
• Prepare monthly bank and investment reconciliations, financial statements, and budget-to-actual comparisons.
• Assist with annual budget preparation, diocesan financial reporting, audits, and required tax and regulatory filings, including Forms 1099 and applicable gaming reports.
• Maintain organized financial documentation, ensure transactions have appropriate approvals, safeguard confidential information, and comply with parish and diocesan financial policies and procedures.
• Provide financial information and assistance to parish leadership, participate in Finance Council meetings as requested, and perform other related accounting and bookkeeping duties as assigned.
