Job summary

Jefferson Health's Abington campus seeks a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on a part-time basis. The role is 24 hours per week with day shift, focusing on perioperative care and patient safety.

The nurse will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and OR staff to deliver evidence-based perioperative nursing, participate in pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, and support learning for patients and families in alignment with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN license in state of practice (Pennsylvania)
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care
• Understanding of effective communication with patients and families
• Knowledge of discharge planning and patient education
• Familiarity with perioperative care concepts and safety protocols
• BLS certification and basic life support knowledge
