Job summary

Jefferson Health's Abington Memorial Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse – Operating Room on a part-time basis (24 hours per week) for the Abington campus with a day shift. Completion of Periop 101 is preferred, and the role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care throughout perioperative nursing.

The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, deliver patient education, manage care plans, and ensure safety and quality in the OR environment.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and collaboration in care planning.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity in diverse patient populations.
• Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of patient assessment and care planning.
• Medication administration and prescription knowledge for continuing treatment.
• Discharge planning and arranging follow-up care.
• Assessment and diagnosis knowledge and clinical judgement.
• Health information documentation in medical records.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• RN license active in state of practice (PA).

Responsibilities
