Job summary

Visionworks seeks a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to be the friendly face of our exam practice, guiding patients through the first steps of vision care with empathy and clarity.

You will handle preliminary testing, maintain patient records, and smoothly transition patients from OD to sales while supporting store operations and delivering a simple, human, bold experience.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products/services that meet eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals.
