Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense glasses and contacts, align prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, and support patients with frame selection and lens options. You will use precision equipment to verify measurements and ensure patient satisfaction in a fast-paced optical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute the Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
