Clarkson Eyecare NJ is seeking an Optical Technician to support patients and drive eyewear sales. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts under optometrist prescriptions, delivering a seamless Total Patient Experience.

Trained on the job, you’ll learn to operate the auto-lensometer and lensometry, assist in choosing frames, and perform precise measurements. Join a team focused on quality eye care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers or patients
• Previous medical office or ophthalmic experience preferred
• Background check as required by state
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and build relationships.
• Assess patient needs and upsell frames and lenses.
• Assist with selecting frames by style, measurements, and prescriptions.
• Operate lensometry equipment (auto-lensometer and manual lensometer).
• Educate on lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
• Take measurements: bridge, eye size, temple length, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders.
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders using current process.
