Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts from optometrist/ophthalmologist prescriptions, while delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience.

You will assist patients in selecting eyewear, operate precision optical testing equipment, and educate customers on lenses and coatings. This role requires strong communication and HIPAA compliance, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient facing role.
• HIPAA compliance expected.
• Background check clearance required by state.
• Must provide identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses.
• Dispense glasses and contact lenses per prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings and frames.
• Maintain organized, clean work area and inventory.
• Perform general office duties as assigned.
