Job summary

Capella University seeks adjunct and part-time faculty within the School of Social and Behavioral Science to deliver pre-designed curricula and mentor doctoral learners. You will participate in doctoral committees and provide timely feedback to students to support academic success.

The role may require travel within the United States for residencies and other program activities, with onsite or hybrid workplace options based on assignment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of the University.
• Proficiency in oral presentation, course objectives planning.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of academic technology.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assignments are ongoing according to expertise and school needs.
• Provide high-quality instruction from a pre-designed curriculum.
• Mentor doctoral learners and participate in doctoral committees.
• Be available within 48 hours by phone, email, and courseroom to provide feedback.
• Travel within the US to participate in doctoral residencies.
• Utilize the online learning platform to enrich learning.
• Establish high standards and ensure learners understand evaluation.
• Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and training as required.
• Participate in other activities based on university needs.
