Job summary

Capella University seeks adjunct and part-time faculty to deliver instruction in the GuidedPath and FlexPath formats. The role involves asynchronous coursework, doctoral mentorship, and participation in residencies 3–4 times yearly across the US.

Candidates should have a PhD in Psychology or related field and demonstrated excellence in academic evaluation, communication, and online teaching tools. Some travel and on-campus presence may be required.

Qualifications

• PhD required with doctoral-level teaching experience preferred.
• Undergraduate- and graduate-level teaching experience as specified in the role.
• Strong ability to evaluate academic work and provide constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction from a pre-designed curriculum.
• Mentor doctoral learners and participate in doctoral committees.
• Provide timely feedback to learners by phone, email, and courseroom.
• Travel within the US to participate in doctoral residencies (3–4 times/yr).
• Adhere to University policies and participate in faculty meetings and trainings.
• Utilize online platforms to enrich the learning experience and assess student progress.
