Job summary

Capella University seeks adjunct and part-time faculty to teach using GuidedPath and FlexPath formats. Expect asynchronous 10-week courses, with quarterly breaks for grading and preparation, and active involvement in courseroom discussions and feedback.

You will mentor doctoral learners, participate in committees, and ensure timely feedback while adhering to university policies. Occasional travel within the US may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Council on Social Work Education program is required.
• Doctorate in social work or closely related area preferred.
• Licensure as a Social Work professional is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach from a pre-designed curriculum with high-quality instruction.
• Mentor doctoral learners and participate in doctoral committees.
• Provide timely feedback and be available within 48 hours by phone, email, and courseroom.
• Travel within the US for doctoral residencies and related activities.
• Engage with online learning platform to enhance the learning experience.
