Job summary

Capella University seeks an adjunct and part-time faculty member to deliver high-quality instruction in social work within the GuidedPath and FlexPath formats. Responsibilities include mentoring doctoral learners, participating in committees, and using online learning platforms to engage students across the US.

Requirements include a Master’s in Social Work, Doctorate in a related field, state licensure, and at least 2–3 years teaching or professional experience.

Qualifications

• Three years of teaching experience preferred.
• Professional experience in the discipline with a minimum of two years is required for the undergraduate level, and three years is required for the graduate level.
• Research, scholarship, or achievement in the discipline required for graduate-level; in addition, at the doctoral level, experience with how to conduct and oversee research in the discipline required.
• All degrees must be conferred and from a regionally accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Assignments are on an ongoing basis according to expertise and school needs.
• Utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction from a pre-designed curriculum.
• Mentor doctoral learners and participate in doctoral committees.
• Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the learning experience.
• Establish high standards and ensure learners understand how they will be evaluated.
• Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and training as required.
• Travel within the US to participate in doctoral residencies.
