YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Manager on Duty in Tacoma, WA. This part-time role oversees branch operations, staff supervision, and safety compliance, with the YMCA core values guiding daily activities.

Responsibilities include supervising the facility, responding to emergencies, and supporting member services, with professional development and training opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 20 years or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive environment.
• Able to complete required online training on first day.
• Background and reference checks per WA Fair Chance Act.
• Positive attitude with experience with diverse populations.
• Maturity, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Preferred: current CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen certifications (within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Open and/or close the facility following proper procedures.
• Walk through the facility during your shift to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Support Membership desk and Welcome Center.
• Build relationships with Members and respond to inquiries.
• Be the first responder to emergencies and incidents.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
