Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Manager on Duty to supervise branch operations during early mornings, evenings and weekends. You will be the first responder to emergencies, ensure safety and maintain YMCA policies, while supporting the Membership desk and center staff.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience, a commitment to inclusivity, and current CPR/First Aid certifications. This is a part-time role with varied hours at the Bremerton Family YMCA.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive environment.
• Background and reference checks required (WA Fair Chance Act).
• Experience in supervisory/leadership role preferred.
• CPR for Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, Oxygen and Lifeguarding certifications.
• Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of facilities, staff, members and guests in the absence of management.
• Provide rest and meal breaks to staff and lifeguards as required.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies using crisis management plan and report accordingly.
• Walk through the facility to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Open and/or close the facility per hours and secure premises.
• Address incidents and safety concerns promptly and notify supervisor.
