Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Part-Time Manager on Duty at the Haselwood Family YMCA in Silverdale, WA. You will oversee daily center operations during the absence of management and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for members and staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum age 20, and a commitment to diversity. Leadership experience and current CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise YMCA facilities, staff, members, and guests in the absence of management.
• Provide required meal and rest breaks for staff, including lifeguards.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents following crisis procedures and document accordingly.
• Conduct regular facility walkthroughs for safety, cleanliness, and positive member experience.
• Open/close the facility according to procedures and ensure the building is secure.
• Report incidents and maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and assist members with tours.
• Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for members and staff.
