Job summary

Levin Furniture & Mattress in North Canton, OH is seeking a Part-Time Office Associate to perform customer service, clerical duties, and sales support. The role includes handling phones, processing payments, and entering order details in computer systems.

Flexibility to work retail hours is required, with emphasis on accuracy and strong communication. Experience in customer service or clerical work is preferred; high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and events.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and listening skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Previous Customer Service/Clerical/Office/Administrative experience is highly preferred.
• Retail and/or service industry experience a plus.
• Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience and/or proficiency with computerized-based systems and technologies (Windows, Microsoft Office, POS Systems, etc.).
• Education: High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs all customer service and clerical support duties including answering phones, managing counter inquiries, processing payments, and resolving customer questions.
• Ensures accurate processing of customer transactions and maintenance of records, including accounts receivable.
• Provides clerical support for sales and store staff and maintains files.
• Enters sales and order information into computer systems.
• Verifies order information, identifies discrepancies and corrects them.
• Completes documentation and processes cash balances, deliveries, and sales orders in line with guidelines.
• Completes credit applications, payments and financing paperwork.
• Communicates professionally with internal and external personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
